FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Grant Policy
PTC will provide a limited number of grants to FTC teams for the 2022-2023 season. The money will be distributed directly from FIRST to the team, and can be used for any costs associated with participating in FIRST. Your team must be registered with FTC to receive the grant.

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Grant Policy
PTC will provide a limited number of grants to FRC teams for the 2023 season. The money will be distributed directly from FIRST to the team, which can apply it towards registration fees. However, the funds can also be re-granted by FIRST for travel expenses, general robot expenses, computer needs, etc. If the team chooses to have the funds re-granted by FIRST, the funds become available after January 1, 2022 and the team is responsible for submitting the necessary documentation to FIRST (completed w9 form with a tax ID & the re-granting documents).

For FTC and FRC grants, the team commits to:

  1. Actively use at least one of PTC’s software solutions -- Onshape or Creo (CAD), Mathcad (engineering calculations), Windchill (Product Lifecycle Management), and/or Vuforia (Augmented Reality).
  2. Provide a summary in this application of how the team has utilized the software in the past and/or plans to use the software this season.
  3. Provide a summary in this application of how the team has engaged underrepresented groups in the past and/or plans to engage underrepresented groups this season.
  4. Display PTC or Onshape's current logo on the robot, pit and website (and team shirts where applicable).
